Excessively large penis generally does not require special treatment in clinical practice. It is recommended to be gentle during sexual intercourse to prevent damage to the vaginal mucosa of women.
What to do if the penis is too large?
If it is the genitalia of a normal adult Asian, it should be considered normal growth and development of the genitalia as long as the length is greater than 10 centimeters and the thickness is greater than 3 centimeters when the penis is erect. If the male penis is relatively large, it should be considered as good genital development. Generally speaking, there is no special need for treatment for males with relatively large genitalia in clinical practice. When couples have sex, if the genitalia is relatively large, it is recommended to be gentle during sexual intercourse, which may be better, otherwise it may easily lead to damage to the vaginal mucosa of women.
What is the penis?
The penis is an important sexual organ of males, with the function of sexual intercourse, urination, and ejaculation. The penis is mainly composed of two corpora cavernosa of the penis and one corpus spongiosum of the urethra, surrounded by the fascia and skin.
Histological structure
The blood supply of the penis comes from the dorsal penile artery, a branch of the external iliac artery. During sexual excitement, the three branches of the dorsal penile artery and their small arteries dilate, increasing blood flow; the arteriovenous anastomoses are blocked, venous return is reduced, and the sinusoidal congestion of the corpus cavernosum forms a penile erection. The penis head has rich nerve endings, so the frenulum of the penis, coronal sulcus, and the area around the urethral orifice are particularly sensitive to external mechanical stimulation. The afferent nerve of sexual sensation is the dorsal penile nerve, which transmits to the low-level sexual response center in the sacral cord, and then the efferent parasympathetic nerve innervates the smooth muscle of the penile vessels, changing the vascular state. Pathological changes in the vessels and nerves of the penis can affect mating function.
