How long should I take Metronidazole for one course of treatment?
Metronidazole is generally considered for its anti-inflammatory effects, and the usual treatment course is 7 days. The specific duration of use depends on the situation. Metronidazole is used for the prevention and treatment of infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, such as respiratory, digestive, abdominal, and pelvic infections, infections of the skin and soft tissue, bone and bone joints, as well as endocarditis, sepsis, and meningitis caused by Bacteroides fragilis. It is also widely used in the prevention and treatment of oral anaerobic infections.
