What should not be eaten after consuming honey?
Honey is not only nutritious but also can enhance the body's immunity. Additionally, it has various effects such as beautifying the skin, anti-aging, relaxing the bowels, and moistening the intestines. However, after consuming honey, one should avoid eating onions, leeks, soybean milk, etc., to prevent adverse reactions.

1. Onions
Honey is an active substance, and onions should not be eaten after consuming honey. This is because onions contain sulfur amino acids, while honey contains organic acids and enzymes. When these substances encounter each other, harmful biochemical reactions may occur or toxic substances may be produced, stimulating the gastrointestinal tract and easily causing diarrhea.
2. Leeks
Leeks are rich in vitamin C. When consumed simultaneously with honey, the vitamin C in leeks can be easily oxidized by the minerals and iron ions in honey, rendering it ineffective. Honey has a slippery nature, and leeks are rich in fiber that can induce diarrhea. Consuming them together can lead to diarrhea. Therefore, honey should not be consumed with leeks, and one should drink more water and rest more.
3. Soybean Milk
Honey and soybean milk should not be mixed for consumption as it is not conducive to nutrient absorption. Honey contains a small amount of organic acids, which can combine with the proteins in soybean milk to produce denatured precipitates that the body cannot absorb. The correct way to consume honey is to dissolve it in lukewarm water at 40℃ to 50℃.
In addition, after consuming honey, one should also avoid eating lettuce, cherries, watermelons, cumin, etc. Therefore, when eating honey, attention should be paid to these food incompatibilities to avoid symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea.
