Can Children Consume Niu Dali Soup?
Children can drink moderately of soup made from niu dali (a type of traditional Chinese medicine) to supplement nutrition. Niu dali has a sweet and neutral taste, and is effective for treating lung heat and lung deficiency cough. Simple colds and coughs are often caused by wind-heat or wind-cold pathogens, so for children with a tendency towards wind-heat, drinking soups made from niu dali and lean meat can be beneficial. Additionally, drinking niu dali soup can also have a good effect on removing dampness, which is particularly suitable for children growing up in the south. There is also an old saying that drinking old-fashioned soup made from fresh niu dali and pig bones can help promote bone growth.
