What Should I Do If I Experience Frequent Erections After Circumcision?
Frequent erections after circumcision are normal and usually do not require treatment. However, if erections persist for extended periods, they may cause severe pain in the affected area. In such cases, it is advisable to take oral anti-inflammatory medication or western medicine to suppress erections. Additionally, it is important to maintain a healthy diet and avoid spicy and irritating foods.
1. Avoid getting the surgical site wet for the first seven days after surgery.
2. Rest in bed and adopt a supine position to avoid compressing the genital organs.
3. Seek immediate medical attention if there are any abnormalities such as wound bleeding.
4. Follow the doctor's instructions for dressing changes and medication to prevent inflammation.
5. Take sedatives before bedtime for 2-3 months after surgery, and young patients should also take estrogen to prevent pain and bleeding caused by erections.
6. Avoid sexual activity and masturbation until the wound has healed completely. Stay away from sexual stimulation to prevent pain and bleeding from erections.
7. Avoid spicy, alcoholic, and stimulating foods, which can cause blood vessel congestion.
8. Keep the perineal area clean. Some patients may experience discomfort in the circumcised area, but scratching or rubbing should be avoided. Clean the area thoroughly after urination and defecation to prevent infection.
9. After the anesthetic effect has passed, the wound may feel painful. It is not advisable to take painkillers immediately as aspirin-like medications can increase bleeding.
