Feeling a sense of vaginal descent may be caused by vulvar leiomyoma or vaginal inflammation.
I. Causes of Feeling Vaginal Descent
The sensation of vulvar descent is a symptom caused by vulvar leiomyoma or vaginal inflammation, resulting in a heavy and dragging feeling in the vulva. The treatment principle for vulvar leiomyoma involves local excision of pedunculated tumors or excision of deep-seated tumors. Prevention of vaginal inflammation includes avoiding the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, washing underwear separately, avoiding excessive cleaning, emphasizing prenatal care, being vigilant about washing machines, and paying attention to hygiene in public places.
II. Prevention of Vulvar Descent Sensation
1. Avoid indiscriminate use of antibiotics: Antibiotics should not be taken randomly for symptoms such as cough, fever, and headache. Antibiotics may suppress some beneficial bacteria, allowing mold to proliferate in large numbers. Therefore, the use of antibiotics should be cautious. 2. Wash underwear separately: Mold can proliferate abundantly on the skin surface, in the gastrointestinal tract, and under nails. If family members or oneself suffer from athlete's foot, onychomycosis, etc., it can easily lead to cross-infection of mold. Therefore, underwear must be washed separately. 3. Avoid excessive cleaning: Frequent use of acidic gynecological cleansers, disinfectant pads, etc., can easily create a damp and acidic environment conducive to mold growth. Weakly alkaline gynecological cleaning and care products are more suitable for daily cleaning and maintenance. 4. Emphasize prenatal care: During pregnancy, the levels of sex hormones, glycogen, and acidity in the vagina increase, making it susceptible to mold invasion. For pregnant women, oral medications are not recommended, and instead, local prevention and adjuvant treatment options should be chosen.
