What are the Effects of Lofenac Sustained-Release Tablets?
When it comes to pain, everyone can relate to the feeling as we have all experienced it in our lives. Although the causes of pain may vary, the impact it has on us is universal. In clinical settings, the severity of pain determines the medication prescribed. For instance, post-operative pain, neuralgia, joint pain, and toothache are commonly treated with Lopina Sustained-Release Tablets.
Lopina Sustained-Release Tablets are primarily used for the relief of moderate pain caused by various reasons, including cancer pain, post-surgical pain, joint pain, neuralgia, muscle pain, migraine, headache, menstrual pain, and toothache. It is a prescription drug, and its adverse reactions may include gastrointestinal discomfort, occasional dizziness, nausea and vomiting, constipation, skin itching, and rash. There may also be symptoms such as weak breathing and abnormal heart rate. It is not recommended for patients with heart failure, bronchial asthma, pregnant women, and children.
A few patients may experience nausea, vomiting, gastric burning sensation, or mild indigestion, gastrointestinal ulceration and bleeding, elevated transaminase levels, headache, dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision, nervousness, drowsiness, lower extremity edema, or rapid weight gain. Rare reactions may include rash, allergic nephritis, cystitis, nephrotic syndrome, renal papillary necrosis, renal failure, and bronchospasm.
1. This medication is for symptomatic treatment only. It should not be used for pain relief for more than 5 days or for fever relief for more than 3 days. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
2. Patients with renal insufficiency, hypertension, cardiac insufficiency, peptic ulcer, hemophilia, or other bleeding disorders (including coagulation or platelet dysfunction) should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
3. If gastrointestinal bleeding, liver or kidney dysfunction, vision or hearing impairment, or abnormal blood tests occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately.
4. Do not use if the physical characteristics of the medication have changed.
5. Seek medical attention immediately if an overdose is taken or if serious adverse reactions occur.
6. Children must use this medication under adult supervision.
7. Keep this medication out of the reach of children.
