Can Palmoplantar Keratoderma Be Cured?
1. Palmoplantar keratoderma is usually difficult to completely cure and can only be alleviated.
2. Palmoplantar keratoderma is a chronic disease, and there is currently no radical treatment for it. The disease is characterized by abnormal differentiation and excessive proliferation of keratinocytes, which may lead to thickened, hardened, cracked skin, pain, and itching. The etiology of the disease is complex, and there is a lack of effective targeted therapy. Although palmoplantar keratoderma cannot be cured at present, appropriate treatment measures can alleviate it to a certain extent.
3. Currently, the main treatment for palmoplantar keratoderma is the use of drugs such as Etretinate Capsules and Tretinoin Cream under the guidance of a doctor. For severe cases, skin grafting surgery should be performed in a hospital in a timely manner. These treatments can relieve skin thickening, itching, and pain, but cannot cure the disease fundamentally.
4. Palmoplantar keratoderma requires long-term treatment and management, with attention to adjustments in lifestyle, such as avoiding excessive fatigue, maintaining sufficient sleep and a healthy diet, to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.
