High lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels indicate significant increases in LDH4 and LDH5 in the blood, suggesting possible pathological abnormalities in the liver, lungs, kidneys, heart, and other organs. If not treated promptly, it may threaten life and health. When LDH levels are high, comprehensive testing must be conducted to diagnose the underlying cause and then targeted treatment can be administered to prevent further deterioration of the condition.
The main reasons for high LDH levels are as follows:
1. Malnutrition: In patients with muscular dystrophy, LDH4 and LDH5 levels in the blood are significantly elevated.
2. Liver disease: When the liver is diseased and liver cells are damaged, LDH4 and LDH5 levels in the blood will increase significantly. LDH5/LDH4
