What are the side effects of Torasemide?
Torasemide tablets are often used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Improper use may induce gastrointestinal abnormalities and electrolyte imbalance. Therefore, when taking torasemide tablets to treat vascular diseases and abnormal blood pressure, it is necessary to follow the doctor's advice strictly to avoid adverse physical reactions caused by improper use.
Torasemide tablets are mainly used to treat edema caused by congestive heart failure, ascites due to liver cirrhosis, and kidney diseases. They can also be used for primary hypertension.
1. Common adverse reactions to torasemide tablets include headache, dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, muscle spasms, nausea, vomiting, high blood sugar, hyperuricemia, constipation, and diarrhea.
2. Long-term and excessive use may lead to imbalance in water and electrolytes.
3. Polyuria often occurs in older patients and those in the early stages of treatment. Individual patients may experience hypotension, mental disorders, thrombotic complications, and arrhythmias, angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, or syncope caused by blood concentration.
4. Some patients may experience hypokalemia, which is common in patients with low potassium diet, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive use of laxatives, and abnormal liver function.
