It may also lead to abnormal liver function. Occasionally, there may be a decrease in the number of white blood cells, neutrophils, and platelets in the blood, and an appropriate increase in the number of eosinophils. Long-term use of this drug can lead to double infections, such as candidiasis and pseudomembranous enterocolitis.
