There are many reasons for the appearance of subcutaneous induration, which may include: fibroma, lipoma, cystoma, or subcutaneous cyst. All these reasons may lead to the occurrence of subcutaneous induration. Because if there is flat wart on the skin, it is also easy to lead to subcutaneous induration. To understand these situations, it is necessary to receive timely examination and targeted treatment.
1. Fibroma can occur in any part of the body and vary in size. It grows slowly under the skin or muscle layer, with a smooth surface and hard texture, and can move freely.
2. Lipoma grows relatively slowly, with smooth skin and a soft feeling after touching. The edges also look very clear.
3. Cystoma often occurs on the face, behind the ears, back, or buttocks, either singly or multiply, with a round or oval shape and clear boundaries. The central part of the skin is thinner, and there is often a blue dot in the center, which is adherent to the skin. When cystoma is infected, there will be local redness, swelling, heat, and pain.
4. The occurrence of subcutaneous cyst is also easy to lead to subcutaneous nodule, and this disease can occur at any age. It is common in the head, face, arms, and back during adolescence. It is a soft or firm globular mass with a diameter ranging from 1 to 3 cm.
5. Flat wart is a common phenomenon, especially in adolescents, and the cause of the disease is relatively sudden. Skin lesions occur mostly on the face, back of the hand, and arm, manifesting as flat papules of varying sizes with mild elevation, smooth surface, round, oval, or polygonal shape, and clear boundaries. They can be densely distributed or arranged in a linear pattern due to local scratching. Generally, there are no symptoms, but some patients may feel mild itching.
